The weather leading up to the Saturday (27th) and Sunday(28th) shows was perfect, 70-75 degrees blue skies all was well with the world.
Until Saturday.
Saturday at 9:00am 2 miles from the site of the show the temperature was 80 degrees.
This did not bode well as the temperature generally peaks around 3:00pm here.
Though appearing close to the Pacific coast, we are in fact behind several ridges (mountains) which usually prevent any cooling ocean breezes from reaching us. Thanks to the dread Western Pine Beetle, there is sparse shade remaining around the arena…
Portable canopy’s, a Redwood Tree and good Samaritans helped all enjoy the weekend.
Sunday was a tad cooler and an intermittent breeze helped the comfort factor considerably.

Setting up for the events
Some of the events (not necessarily in order…) nor are all riders represented.
I did not intend on documenting this so I am just incorporating the pictures I took whilst there. Sorry to all the riders and participants (human and equine) who were not adequately covered. Again, it was not intentional. In addition due to privacy concerns I am not listing names, you know who you are…
Video’s – I had hoped to post more but the transfer time is horrendous…
I will try and add more but it may take a while due to bandwidth limitations.
